I sometimes have a hard time following graphic novels, and this one really left me scrambling to figure out what was going on. I had difficulty distinguishing between some of the characters, and because the story departed so far from the historical record, I didn't really have much to guide me as I was reading, and this was so disappointing because I was really looking forward to this book.

The story seemed like it would have been great if I could have just gotten ahold of it. It was thrilling, and clearly there is more story to come as Brody and Graham discover more about their powers. This had some pretty gory scenes, too. Overall, I liked where the story was going, and I can usually get excited about historical fiction with a twist, but something was lacking in the execution of this for me.
