I really loved this book and am tempted to give it 5 stars, definitely 4 1/2. Why doesn't good reads have 1/2 stars? Anyway, this book reminded me so much of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. There were a lot of similarities but the interesting difference was that it was written by a man and from a man's perspective about very similar issues and experiences. A fast, compelling read. I would totally recommend it.
