A very nice 're-introduction' to Green Lantern for myself. Rebirth collects a 2004-2005 mini-series written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Ethan Van Sciver (really good artist). I have to admit that I know very little about Green Lantern and am reading this graphic novel as a way of getting a better understanding of the character before the movie is released in 2011...You do know that there will be Green Lantern movie.

The story arc is really about the resurrection and redemption of Hal Jordan after he goes insane and destroys the Green Lantern Corps among other really bad deeds. While reading Rebirth, I realized the whole Green Lantern methodology is much more complex than I had anticipated (This also means I'll have to read Green Lantern: Secret Origins!).
