100 pages of amazing story building. 100 pages of amazing love, romance, and steamy sex. 100 pages of nonstop page-turning suspense (& more love, romance, & hot steam sex)! I loved this book!! I loved the characters, the story line, and all of the different elements weaved throughout the story to create an amazing climax.

Lindsay I love Emma Holly's books, but this is my absolute favorite by her. I've read it multiple times and it never gets old.

Great review.

Kris (KindleRomance) Thanks! I just wish the last book wasn't so horrible for me. I have several of her books in my TBR (like the Midnight series), and I keep hesitating to start them because of Demon's Fire.

Lindsay I was looking forward to Demon's Fire and waited forever for it to come out in the Mass Market Paperback and I was really disappointed in the book.

I've read part of the Midnight series and they are pretty good. I don't remember why I didn't finish the series.

Kris (KindleRomance) I keep moving them up on my list, but then I don't end up starting them. I have most of them already since I got them at Borders during their Buy 3 Get the 4th Free. Hopefully soon and hopefully I'll love them. Although it makes me wonder if you stopped and you're not sure why. Maybe not compelling enough or outliving it's enjoyment factor?

Lindsay I think I stopped because she took a break in writing them and when more started coming out I couldn't remember which ones I had and which ones I didn't. I was also in the process of putting some new shelves up and had a lot of books packed up in boxes so I couldn't see which ones I had.

I've just never gotten around to buying the newer ones since then. I keep telling myself that I'll but them the next time I go into a store, but most of my book buys have been at Walmart or the grocery store since Borders closed. I'm not a huge fan of B&N and since Borders always had coupons I knew I could always get a deal. I actually looked for them when Borders was closing but they were sold out.

I think another reason I have not picked them up again is because I feel like I need to go back and read the ones I have again but I have so many new books that I just never get around to it. It doesn't help that I can now borrow books for the Kindle and I've been borrowing a lot of books recently. :)

Kris (KindleRomance) LOL! That's a good reason to wait until the entire series is published. I have almost no memory so it's really hard on me when the main plot is actually carried through different stories. I need the Spark notes to remind me what happened. Or I just scour GR for somebody who gives all of the good details.

Lindsay Lol. I normally have a good memory but some really stick and some are vague.

In the past it hasn't bothered me to start an ongoing series but recently I've been waiting until all of the books in a series are out before reading. I really hate reading one, loving it and having to wait for the next book.

I just checked...I have the first five books in the Midnight series but then there is a gap of four years between books. I think that I have book six and possibly seven (but would have to check). That's where I got confused on if I had them or not so I stopped buying them until I knew for sure.

Kris (KindleRomance) 4 years!!! Yikes! I was just looking at my Holly books and realized I really liked Hidden Talents. I need to read the next one soon because I've already forgotten all of the characters!

Lindsay I have Hidden Talents but I have not read it yet.

It sounds really good but I don't know when I'll be able to get the other books for that series on my Kindle so I've put off reading it.
