52 Loaves in 52 weeks—that is our fearless author’s goal. You see, Mr. Alexander once tasted the most exquisite “peasant” bread and is now determined to bake it himself.

Throughout the course of a year, Alexander will grow and harvest and grind his own wheat, build his own clay oven, and endlessly experiment with yeast and flour and baking techniques.

Never fear, dear Reader, this quest does have a happy ending. Very much like Julie & Julia, this book makes me want to bake my own bread.
