One of my friend lent me this book. If it were not for her, I would not have picked this book up from the book store. The cover just doesn't interest me. I thought it was a bit weird and dark. But I was glad she did. Because it turns out to be one of the best story that I've read so far.

The Gargoyle tells the story of an ex porn star who was in a car accident and was badly burned, so he spent months in the hospital. While he's in the hospital, he's being visited often by this girl, Marianne Engel who tells him stories of him and her hundreds of years back. This is actually a love story, tells in a different way. From the moment I picked up this book, I was drawn to the story and the writing and the mini stories that was told by Marianne Engel. There are some parts that are a bit weird and not for the faint hearted, but overall this story was a beautiful love story. I especially like the ending. It was not what I had expected. I would definitely recommend this book
