The week Laura Ling had her baby and North Korea was facing the consequences for sinking a South Korean ship, I received this book. But Somewhere Inside was more than just a current events read. The story of Laura's captivity and her sister Lisa's efforts to win her freedom is a great testament to sibling bonds and the strength of family when crises hit. I had to put the book down at some points because of the tension it evoked. Other parts had me teary eyed as the sisters spoke of their love for each other and their anguish. Concisely written,as a current events read, it was gripping from start to finish, giving an eye into North Korea at this moment and the delicate nature of international relations in trying times.
