Haven't read a decent adult fantasy for a long time, but this was worth the wait. A retelling of "The Wild Swans" fairytale by H.C. Anderson, set in ancient Ireland - lots of Celtic swords and sorcery. The first of a trilogy (Sevenwaters), can't wait for the next one. I know you can't tell an author by just one book, but I loved this woman's way with a tale and am hoping for big things in her other books.
