I enjoyed the premise of the book. Society is the first thing to go to the walking dead. The small nations of Africa, that were always involved in some sort of warfare, are the last nation states. Actually these to are in decline, leaving only the warlords to keep their people alive. The warlords have plenty of food, water, and ammunition. They need AZT to fight the aids virus. Africa is out of AZT. The only place that is known to have AZT is the United Nations. Thats right our hero must travel from Africa to United Nations building in New York. New York is no longer inhabited by humans. It belongs to the dead.

This was a great story. It did get a little weird with mummys and the ghost of a celtic shaman. But sometimes things get weird when you walk in the world of the undead.

This is the best of the series. The other books are interesting and very unique. They are unlike any sci-fi/horror that I have read.
