Every once in awhile you come across a book so good when you finish reading it you find your best friend, put duck tape over their mouth, and lock them in a closet until they finish reading it. This is not one of those books.
But Maureen Johnson has this way of writing that keeps you delightfully entertained the whole way through. The Characters are well developed, except for the main character, and fun.
I'm not a book reviewer so I'm not going to enter the wonderful world of summaries but I will try to explain my three star rating.
The reason it was not the five star book has everything to do with the first paragraph of this review. Nothing is new here. I have met all of the characters in other books. I knew how the book was going to end from the beginning. It was not thought provoking in anyway.
With that said I really enjoyed reading the book. I felt the need to finish it so much that when my iPad was stolen I finished reading it on my cellphone(about a third of the book). I just felt to give it 5 stars would devalue some of the other books that do deserve 5 stars like: 13 Blue Envelopes.
You won't regret reading this book. I just wouldn't put it on the must read list.
