really liked it
bookshelves: urban-fantasy

Another fun addition to the series, this one has Edward Drood facing his biggest problem yet - the Matriarch of the Drood family is found murdered in her own bedchamber. It has to be an inside job, and Edward sets off to find the killer - with half the family thinking he did it; and the other half blaming his girlfriend - the witch Molly.

This book has some interesting plot lines - secrets, conspiracies, and anti-Drood groups are abound, along with the children of Frankenstein (of course, because why not?)

The series still lacks some of the energy of his Nightside series, but remains an enjoyable summer read.
