This book series of faeries is a dark one and this book was way darker than the first. It almost seems like it might not fit into the YA genre. I would not recommend this for younger teenagers. More violent than the first book containing: drugs, sex, rape, and violence. None of it is graphic or anything, just mentioned or implied. This book is about the faeries of the Dark Court, so of course it has to be darker than the first book.
I found the beginning a little confussing. The book dragged a bit but picked up at the end.
I liked Leslie, the main character, and even liked the bad guy, Irial and was happy the main characters from Wicked Lovely had pretty big parts in this book as well.
Now I'm off to read the third book in this series:)
