This is almost 4 stars. A great, solid, true crime book. I liked that the author tied the story of Amy into the current events of her day. It gave the story a unique place in the fabric of American history. I did wish we had more information about Amy. The personal letters that the author chose to include gave a glimpse into the mind of a killer, but I wish there were more letters and such. Maybe none survived.

Still, a easy, solid read.
