Interesting premise but I was ultimately disappointed. I expected a more radical interpretation of the New Testament, supplemented with practical approaches to incorporating it into a modern spiritual program. Ultimately it seemed like Dr. Chopra was shooting from the hip, pointing out some obvious interpretations here and there, throwing in some historical context behind certain passages.

Had I not known this book was by Chopra, I would have found it to be an adequate, semi-informative read. Given the author though, I can't help but be a bit disappointed that the themes were relatively muted and the insights fairly tame.

I enjoy his other works, but find myself ambivalent on The Third Jesus.
