I started this book after reading and loving the 1 st 4 in the series. But the problem is this, the books seem to be losing sight of the plot( Princess Meridith to become pregnant and ascend the throne) The books just progressively have become not much more than porn. I will probably give this book another chance at a later date because I love the plot, characters and the fantasy of fairies. I really want to know where all this goes. But right now, I am just not in the mood to wade through the porn to get to the good parts, and Hamilton seems to just keep upping the amount of it in every book. Believe me, I am no faint at heart and can handle/ like a steamy read at times. But it has gotten to the point where it seems sex is being substituted for the actual plot and the things that made this series so irresistible in the first place. Did Hamilton's creative juices just dry up for a while and she just started writing junk until she could get them going again? Maby it would be better if she just came back with quality rather than the filler of sex she is using? I would much rather wait for the good writing that Hamiltons fertile imagination is capable of that read quickly churned out pornography used to fill in the gaps. After reading the first few in this series, I highly recommended them to friends and strangers. At this point, I am embarrassed I did. Sorry Laurel, but you are capable of so much more than this.
