I have been scathing about a previous series of Keri Arthur-the werewolf reservation books-but this was a good read! Nikki is a developing psychic working as a PI and is following a rich teenage boy who gets snatched while she and her partner are attacked by vampires. The missing boy and the missing daughter of a cop are linked to an investigation being run by Michael, Nikki's vampire ex-lover. They are now investigating a resort where rich men are missing and Nikki wants to use the chance to get Michael back but faces competition from the vampire who turned Michael.
Really enjoyed this book. Nikki is a nice character, the type you would like as your friend, Michael is a vampire with personality and you do want them back together. There is romance in the book but not at the expense of plot so there will be plenty for UF and PNR fans to enjoy. I'll be reading the rest of this series for sure.
