To Dance by Siena Siegel is a graphic novel. It is a memori of Siena when she was six years old. She mentions that as far as she could remember she would dance anywhere there was an empty space. Her mother took her to the doctor where she was told that she has flat feet. Her mother then decides to put her in a dancing class and that's where it all begans. Siena dreams of becoming a dancer her whole life. The book follows Siena as she is growing up and traveling from Puerto Rico to New York in order to become a dancer. She stops dancing when she turns eighteen years old because of an injury. That is when Siena has to adjust to life without ballet. After reading this book I now understand how difficult it is to become a ballerina. It take dedication and lots of hard work in order to become a great dancer.
