Word After Word After Word
by Patricia MacLachlan
by Patricia MacLachlan
Wow, I had no idea this book was even out when I ventured into Barnes and Nobel yesterday. MacLachlan is one of my favorite authors. I feel like all of her books are simple books in the best sense of that word. I read them and am amazed by how she quietly puts these words together and creates what I believe to be spectacular books.
Word after Word after Word is just like that. A quiet, simple book about a "known" author coming into a classroom and teaching writing. I loved glimpsing what I believe to be MacLachlan's beliefs about writing, seeing what she would hope kids would do with those beliefs. I cannot wait to share this with my students next year. A quick, inspiring read.

I just got this title from a reviewer friend of mine. I can't wait to read it, now. I had no idea that was the book's theme. Cool.
