bookshelves: to-read, author-f, fiction

I read this when I was little, but I can only remember one line. The fact that this line has been stuck, vividly, in my head for a decade or so indicates that I might benefit from a re-read one of these days.

AB Ah, something in reference to the way the mysterious absent uncle loved his wife -- that he'd walk all over the world just to pluck the blade of grass she wanted.
