I've just finished and all I can say is holy shuck! This book is awesome!
I was a little bit scared when I started this book that I wasn't going to like it as it is my first real dystopia/sci-fi book I've read. After about 110 pages it got to the point where I couldn't put it down for anything even while eating dinner I had it one hand and when bedtime came I wanted to stay up all night and read it.
The plot was fast paced, suspenseful and full of suprises. The twists and turns this book took shocked me unlike any other book I've read. It also has some creative lingo but I found it easy to understand and I actually think it added to this books charm. The ending was amazing but left me with so many questions that I need answers for RIGHT NOW and I really wish October 12th would hurry up so I can read The Scorch Trials.
All I have to say is read this book (especially you, Morgan :D).

Nah. I look all the time. I've recommended it though, so hopefully the librarian will listen to me. Though probably not. We have a love/hate relationship.
Funny, I have a love/hate relationship with my lib too, all though I can finally say they are getting better with the choices.
We have different opinions about everything. She only buys books for young-adults that she likes, and then orders books that I never heard of. They are usually the ones that have two ratings on here.
Well that doesn't seem right. She should listen to the target audience. What a bummer. Hopefully you have another library close by.We have a HUGE YA section in our library. They have no bookshelf anymore and they have to store a huge amount in the back. Luckily, we have no issues getting what we want...yet.
I'm jealous. I go to two different libraries. The school one doesn't have a YA section, but rather has all the YA books spread through-out. So I have to look all of them up individually. Then there is my town librabry which only has two cases dedicated to YA. All the good ones I've already read.
You'd be a cool one Kim, most of the ones I know ( no offense to librarians out here) are frigid and rude. That job would be so sweet! I'd get fired of course. Do you know how many books I'd order:P
Oh yes Nic, I'd love to own a bookstore as well, but the problem is that I don't see myself having my own business.Olivia is the real librarian around here, I'm so jealous.
Awesome Review!! I love the way you devour books!I think my first survival/dystopia book was The Hunger Games, which you NEED to read all the books in August. HEYY we should read the three together ^^ LOL The Maze Runner was the second one and I just love it sooooo much!!
Don't you worry I will be reading all three Hunger Games books with you in August. Can't wait now especially if it is anywhere near as good as this one.
See, The Hunger Games is on it's very own pedestal, since it was probably the biggest (and still is) survival/sci-fi book out here. I'm obsessed with both, so book one should be a treat for you!!Yayaya!! So we'll read these together, say a week before Mocking Jay comes out sound good?
Okay a week before sounds good. I'm going to buy the other two soon so I have them here reading and waiting. YAY! Can't wait!
Sure. I have to buy The Hunger Games though. I borrowed it from the library the first time, but I want it for myself.
You got a couple of months time. I'm dying to just read Catching Fire now since it's been sitting on my shelf since it came out, but no, I must wait. Be strong.
ME TOO. I read THG when it first came out, then spent a year craving CF, and when that came out I made the mistake of reading is as soon as I got my hands on it.And I probably forgot 80% of what happened aldready DX
Sooo... Can I join you girls?
w00t!! The Hunger Games book Marathon! One week before Mocking Jay!!Let's all go freaken nuts together!! ~happy dance~
Don't worry, I'll leave my weapons at home. Can somebody remind me before we start reading, I'll try to remember, but I know myself.
*jumps up and down*Me too! Me too! I wanna join! I read THG right when it came out too, as well as CF so I've been eagerly anticipating Mockingjay. I can't wait.
BTW, great review Nic! I'm so glad you enjoyed The Maze! Woo hoo!
Ingenious those berries^^ This is making me want to read it NOWW!
..I'll pass on the smoothie though babe;)
Aww Olivia, you know I would never mean you dear, I'm talking about some of my librarian's who seem annoyed ever time you ask for assistance. Why do I have to feel guilty for asking for help? ~cringe~Cute Video btw, thanks for posting;)
Says the one in camouflage gear, while holding the knives.I'm a lover, not a fighter. But I fight back.
Really, I'm fine Morgan, thanks. Seriously, I know you live to please me but this is getting a little embarrassing...
