** spoiler alert ** This is a book that intends to inspire fan-fiction--and then it provides a designated space for aspiring authors to share their work. The project's website, cleverly wrapped into the plot, is a membership-based site for anyone over the age of 13 to explore, share, speculate, and write.

The deliberate integration of social media is interesting--just don't look here for a tightly crafted mystery! The published story has a clear goal to provide as many red-herrings and/or prompts for the readers and writers who choose to participate in the online project. Unfortunately, that choice makes the novel overly long, filled with stray storylines, and overrun in the background with stock characters (possibly for the benefit of writers who would like to take on a persona).

All that said, the story and project are fun, and you can't help but come up with possible directions for the plot; you might even be tempted to submit your own story!
