Mary Sicchio I looked forward to this publication but wished it
was less academic and argumentative. I long for
Hannah Rebecca's actual writings to be published,
her larger than life circumstances and writing style
would carry the day. I think heroines are endlessly
interesting, esp. ones with style and Hannah qualifies
hands down. I think the victorian place of honor for
widows is commendable and less of the publicity pose
the author suggests. It left me wanting the real thing. Mary Sicchio
