Tonya I'm glad I read this book. It explores the subject of homosexuality in the LDS community, the subject being a young man of 16, in high school who opens up to his friend that he is homosexual. The relationship this young man has with his Bishop as he counsels with the young man was for the most thoughtful part of the book. The book raises lots of questions about how those of us who are of the faith judge each other, exploring prejudices, tolerance, choices we make and battle with in our lives. It left me with much more to ponder than just merely the subject of same sex attraction, including many human weaknesses and burdens we all battle on a daily basis.

Jonathan Langford Tonya,

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I'm curious: how did you come across my book? I ask because it's been something of a challenge letting people know that the book exists...

Tonya I read the book in the Carbon Canyon/Shauna Rhuby's book club. I was part of the phone discussion we had with you! :)
