I enjoy this series because the books are well-written and the plot has been given thought.

This book, as usual, was filled with suspense and while the girls all faced the same problems (the new "A"; Ali's killer; Ian!), their subplots were somewhat enjoyable too. Except for Hanna's subplot which I found petty.

I get that she finds it hard to get along with Kate--but that doesn't necessarily mean that she needs to start a fight over every single little thing. Kate is an annoying character as ever that loves to play the pity card, batting her eyelashes here, widening her eyes there, using that innocent voice of hers EVERYWHERE. It just makes me wish that Kate can suffer half the downfall that Hanna was dished.

This book ends with a huge cliffhanger that only opens up to more questions.

And A's note at the back of the book only leaves more questions to be asked.

As usual, it's great and the suspense is good too. Everything eventually ties up in a somewhat neat ribbon before Sara Shepard decides to throw us off a cliff and gives us an almost impossible ending.

Just when things seem to be all figured out, the rug is pulled out from underneath you and you are left somewhat upset, speechless and annoyed. I'm not precisely sure it's a good thing, but I will definitely be reading the next book.
