Radio Free Albemuth is typical Philip K. Dick: paranoid, conspiratorial, filled with hidden messages, and that good type of insane. And unlike most of his books, it is pretty well written. It is extremely accessible, the theories, mostly an offspring of the 1960s drug culture and cold war paranoia, are presented in a palatable manner, probably the best of his later Gnostic influenced works. If you already are a Dick fan, you will enjoy it, from his snarky writing to his vast paranoid imagination. If not, it is a great book as an introduction, absent of many of the errors that plague his other less-accessible books. Personally, I always have time for any of his stories.
