I plucked this book off a new release table at, "A Great Good Place for Books." I was seduced by the pretty cover which I remembered from a magazine review or two, too bad I couldn't remember the actual review as I was deciding whether to buy it. On impulse, I figured it couldn't be that bad.

I was right. It wasn't that bad--but this story of a 35-year-old woman, whose father disappeared during a solo fishing trip and never returns, setting off a complicated relationship with men--wasn't that compelling either.

I needed there to be something redeeming about the obnoxious, selfish and spoiled main character, Hannah Legare. But nadda. The subplots were mildly interesting and the story itself was worth finishing only to justify my $25.00.

There just wasn't anything compelling about these people or this story and the ending just made me mad. I'd kinda like my money back and my time too!
