really liked it
bookshelves: dystopia, not-suited-for-under-13, young-adult, speculative-fiction
Read from May 22 to 31, 2010

Bacigalupi is a fellow Coloradoan, and I can feel the influence of the west in this dystopian adventure that focuses mainly on the Gulf of Mexico and the cities of New Orleans, Orleans II and Orleans III. The writing drags a few times but overall is a fresh, bold offering and one that (hallelujah) will appeal to teenage boys (as well as girls)
