Yes, as some of you will notice I changed my reivew. I really dont like giving out huge spoilers like I did, its not fair to the aurhor or future readers. I didnt like it when I put it on there and its been bugging me ever since.
I don’t know where to start, I just didn’t get into this book like I wanted. I probably could have gotten past the love triangle between Roseland, Sir Christopher and Rhys. But what I cant get past is there is no definite HEA GRRR… I really liked the plot with the vampire and druid and setting. I loved how they were set guarding the King and Queen and the mystery of catching a very old vampire. I liked some of the characters not all.
Who is going to get Roseland in their bed. You have 2 and sometimes 3 bidding for it with (of course) Christopher and Rhys the running contenders. I got plain tired of reading who wants her and Roseland doesn’t want any of them at times then she does, I mean make up your mind already GRRRR. (You know how it goes). It just got to be so much I started skimming through the book.
I didn’t feel it had enough romance between Roseland and Christopher(it may happen in the next book). There was some sex but the first time I didn’t care reading it. Then you get a couple of more after that, which was good. I have read a lot hotter PNR books.
Roseland just didn’t hit me right and I didn’t like how she went about things. I also didn’t like how her virginity was taken and how it was afterwards.
Christopher was ok for me at times, but he just didn’t stick with me.
Rhys I really liked along with the vampire Elias Warner.
This is one book you’ll have to read to see if you like it or not. Some things pushes my buttons wrong and this book done just that.

Yes, but I think I need to calm down a bit. I just hate to really trash a book, but this one just really rubbed me wrong grrr. I should have it late tomorrow.
If you plan to tone down your review I'd appreciate a pm about why you really didn't like the book. Feel free to rant. :) I have this on my tbr list and would like to know if I'll be wasting my time. If what bothered you will bother me too I'll give it a pass.
I look forward to seeing your review too Laurie. I know this book got 4 5star ratings one of those was by someone who doesn't read the books but marks them for their covers, so disregarding her vote it still gets 3 another perspective on the story will be usful and interesting:)

I just need to make sure I do it right.
The thing is I really wanted to like this one. Please remember even thought even though I didnt like this you may. I just cant do no HEA.I have no ideal if there will be a HEA in the next one who knows she may go back with Rhys. Thats why I dont like reading books like this you never do know.
I agree with you, Laurie. I can't do no HEA either. The closest I've come to that is the Maker's Song series, but at least Dante and Heather are kind of together.
I'm on the "can't-live-without-a-HEA-PNR" team... of course a happy ending is not what I'm always searching on books, but when a great PNR book full of great sex, as
, end without a HEA I get angry... very much! So I understand you Laurie... and thanks for the review... will stay away (miles away) from this book!
I just read a comment that pearce left on someone else's review. She says that christopher and rosalind's romance concludes in book two.
Thank you, Sammy!!! That's good to know. I prefer these things to be wrapped up in one book, but maybe it'll work for me after all.

Hi Laurie, the book just got too big to finish all in one go and in Tudor times, a betrothal sanctioned by the king was about as binding a HEA as a marriage. It never occurred to me that anyone would assume they weren't going to end up together LOLSorry you didn't like it.
best

Hi Kate,Thanks for letting me know. You never do know until you try something. That’s my biggest problem with these reviews, because I know If I don’t like others will and I hate to throw one under the bus so to speak and I know my firends will more then likly like it. I will wait for the next and let some of my friends review first and then maybe give it a try. Just because I don’t like one book doesn’t mean I would like them all. That’s one thing I found out its every book is different. Buy my biggest problem now if I feel for Rhys he is left in the cold if she doesn’t go back to him and I like him better then Christopher. This is another reason we like the series where each book has different hero and heroines, that way no one gets let in the cold LOL. Oh, I going to try your House of Pleasure they look good!
Well I hope you'll be pleased to hear that Rhys gets to be the hero in book #3 and gets his girl who is way better suited to him than Rosalind :)best

hahahaha (yeah... I was a little bitchy and angry writing that review but I reeeeeeeally hate the end!)

BTW, this cover is great! Don't you think?
