I am usually a Nora Roberts fan, but had to abandon this one; i was annoyed by the plot which villanized the developer from the get go (as a land owner i can imagine myself getting a little upset if my land was suddenly claimed as national treasure or whatever and under threat of expropriation); too many characters with too many agendas, brash and initially unlikable Callie (main character); I couldn't bother to figure out what the main plot was (archeology, child abduction, property rights?) and dropped it before finishing second chapter...
