This was thet second novel I've read that looks at the story from Mary's perspective (Anne Boleyn's sister) although this one predates The Other Boleyn Girl by quite a bit. They're not the same however. This book more closely follows Mary's life and Anne is truely on the perifery here which is probably why this story wasn't fantastic. The first half of the book is quite interesting but once Mary is no longer the King's mistress (which was at the halfway point) it really wasn't that engaging. I've got to say TOBG does it better.
