Lady Georgiana is at it again. The Queen Mother has asked her to host the visiting Bavarian Princess Hannelore. Not only is Georgie to show her around town but the Queen wants her to set Hanni up with her son David. The thing is that Georgie is still broke and she can't let anyone know. Her grandfather and his neighbor dress up and pretend to be Georgie's servants. They aren't the only ones pretending and when several dead bodies start popping up, Georgie's position is that much more precarious.

Why I picked this book up: Bowen is good at ending her story answering the questions but leaving the reading reaching for the next one in the series. I finished the first and had to start the second because I needed to know if Georgie and Darcy hooked up. (You'll have to read it yourself to find out. I'm not going to tell you.)

Why I finished it: Dare I admit, because it was due back at the library? It was in the stack of books that needed to be returned and I couldn't send it back without finishing the story.

Who I would recommend it to: Mystery readers who are looking for something a little more current than Agatha Christie.
