Another wonderful work from Karin Tabke/Harlow. Yes, this is classified as paranormal romance, but it is chock full of suspense and political intrigue. Also, it may be slightly more brutal for the average PNR reader; as it is heavy on the suspense.

Don't let the acronym L.O.S.T. (Last Option Special Team) fool you. This group of elite operatives is in no way "lost". They know exactly what their objective is and how to accomplish it. The team is lead by the enigmatic Godfather, aka Mr. Black. (Ms. Harlow, how long until we get a peek into the story of Godfather?)

Players:
Jax Cassidy - A tough, kick-ass heroine who is recruited by L.O.S.T. Her assignment: do whatever is necessary to find and eliminate Joseph Lazarus.
Marcus Cross - Vampire assassin for Joseph Lazarus. Believes he is fighting the good fight in the name of justice for the betterment of the USA.
Senator William Rowland - Conservative Senator from California; caught in the middle when he enlists The Solution to fight forces the federal government can't/won't. And then cuts off their funding.
Joseph Lazarus - Diabolical vampire, leader of The Solution, with delusions of one day owning the White House; puppet master of Senator Rowland.

This story never stops. All of the characters, including many secondary characters, are engaging as they offer up twists and turns you will never suspect. I am looking forward to more in this series ~~ how long do I have to wait?

Semper Invictus, Always Invincible.
