It is a rare thing for me to start a book and not finish it, but this is what I have decided to do. Multiple people told me this was such an awesome book but I can't take how depressing it is. Maybe it is because I work with a lot of immigrants that it bothered me so much. I was on a total reading kick and stoked to get to this one but every time I had time to read I thought "oh, that is too depressing, I don't want to read that right now..." so I didn't. And then I didn't read for about 6 months due to my completionist issues (and also due to a few other, very exciting reasons as well....) So I have now decided to give up on it and move on. One of the few books I've ever done this with.
