Meg Cabot enriches this story with historical details about Saint George, Romania and Vlad Tepes, the original Dracula. This is not your typical "make up the facts to suit your story" work of fiction. Meg Cabot has done her homework.

Meena is a strong character who is easy to relate to. The other characters in the novel are well-developed and easy to imagine.
