I will have to admit that I wasn't sure if I would like this book when it became a bookclub book. However I was pleasantly suprised to find it really made me laugh at times, and to ponder things in my own life at others. It was a coming of age style book for me -- although the main character is Mormon the struggles she faces are those that all of us face in some style or another as we strive to discover who we are as individuals and who we desire to become. Its a book about growing up and finding wings of your own, rather than relying on the wings of everyone who has shaped your childhood.
