really liked it
bookshelves: highly-recommended, thriller
Read in January, 1998

Officer Rainie Conner's first homicide investigation involves a school shooting where the sheriff's son is the prime suspect. Rainie doesn't believe he's guilty and digs deeper even though it may expose secrets in her past.

Plot has much more than a school shooting. Well-developed characters. Fast-paced--doesn't quit. Highly recommend. Paperback only.
