This is way different from the previous books in this series, because it focuses more on the love story than the hardcore sex. I don't mind the sex especially if it's intimate; her other novels overwhelmed me because they're all about kinky stuff and domination, sex as everyday communication to express what they're really feeling. The threesome here was mild compared with the previous books and the sex was more intimate.

The sex here is just right, the trademark tension buildup really worked. I liked the characters and in such a short novel, we really get to know the characters, what bothers them, how they cope with life, and how they developed. I was really touched by Jared's willingness to wait for 5 years, but as I read it I was shaking my head because that seems like an eternity for someone who've been yearning for the other for a year.

I liked how the author used the inheritance as the point of conflict, it represents money and luxury, but it doesn't make one happy especially if she's alone in it. Since everything was well-written, we see through Kimberly's emotions as she realized that only Jared can make her happy, screw the inheritance. I really felt the love between them, and I liked how they showed it to each other. I also loved the way it ended, with Kim's dad the senator patching things up with her. Unlike the previous ones, this is a total feel good quick read and I felt light-hearted after.
