really liked it

Web London is HRT with the FBI. He freezes during a major drug raid during which all his colleagues die. He can’t figure out why he froze – not like him. Web’s face was disfigured during a previous raid on a militia group, and he is soon called to protect family members of a child who was killed during that raid. The family, a husband and wife, now own and live on a huge horse farm where they breed race horses. There is a female shrink in the mix, also. Web is receiving counseling. There is also a missing child – the kid who Web rescued in the alley during the drug raid. The kid that the FBI later questions is not the same kid ; the kids have been swapped for some reason. Oh, and the original kid’s brother is a huge, tank of a man who is a major player in the drug world. He is interested in finding Web to find out what happened to his brother. A bunch of disconnected live wires, which one finds in a Baldacci novel. Do the wires connect? Is the Pope Catholic? Good read - keeps the reader guessing with plenty of surprises.
