Not quite the book I was expecting -- I thought it would have more discussion of the practical challenges public librarians have to face in maintaining public access for a wide variety of patrons. Instead, it's basically a memoir of the experiences of one particular public librarian.

An interesting, easy read.

Recommended instead: This Book Is Overdue!: How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All.
