A girl from English Aristocracy decides to not wed the guy she's "supposed to" and head off to find the one living relative she knows uncle who thinks she's a boy.

So, cut the hair, put on a pair of pant and boots, and head to a ranch in Texas. When she gets there her uncle is out of town so she has to hide her secret which of course leads to some interesting and akward experiences.

I liked the book, but I think that perhaps I would have liked it a little more if I had read it instead of listening to it. Some of the characters seemed really dumb and it may have been the voice inflections of the reader.
