Delightful in every way. I completely devoured this book.

Grahame-Smith has a real gift for mixing classics (both literature and history) with the bizarre and creating something with serious substance instead of absurdity (nothing against the absurd). In another author's hands this topic would have come across as humourous and perhaps a bit too silly to work, in Grahame-Smith's it instead reads like a serious and fascinating alternate universe history of Lincoln.
