The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks is about a man named Wilson and his current life experiences. He’s feeling as though him and his wife are falling out of love with each other due to Wilson always working, and regretfully forgot their anniversary. As if that’s not enough he found out his oldest daughter Anna is finally getting married.
This story taught me that sometimes you only have one chance in life to make things right, and not to take anything for granted. It also teaches about being able to fix things sometimes but not to rely on fixing and just doing it right the first time.
Personally I liked the whole first and second chapters that talk about how they fell out of love and how the children are all older yet Wilson has no knowledge of who his kids are. Wilson decides to make his wife fall back in love with him, when he realizes his marriage and the love of his kids depends on it.
As a whole the book was excellent, it included all the types of things I’m into, such as love, romance, and second chances. If you’re into those types of things you should enjoy this book, if you’re into action and adventure books I don’t recommend this book. In all I rate this book a 4.
