Aaargh. I need to start reading stand alone novels, because the wait for all these sequels is killing me. And now I have another one to add to the list.

This one grabbed me hard from page one and so there I sat, all day, at the Book Shop, ignoring the display I should have been putting together (though I did get it done!) as I plowed through. I love that Fisher just drops the reader into this wildly different world, and expects you to keep up and piece together the details of her characters' reality as they try to piece together a way out of their reality.

I'm not thrilled about having to wait for the next book, but I can see why this is a series and not a stand alone. There are still a ton of questions that I'm dying to know the answers to - mostly about Finn's identity.

Overall, fun and imaginative, and while I did guess a couple twists, there were several big ones that I just did not see coming. I'm going to be recommending this one to all of our Rick Riordan and Suzanne Collins fans who are looking for their next read.

Lisa Vegan Aaargh is right. Another one for the to-read shelf. Maybe I'll wait until they're all published though.

Chelsea At least with this one I knew there was a sequel. I went completely blind into Hunger Games, and I still haven't recovered from reaching the last page and finding that THERE WASN'T ANY MORE!!!

I've looked here, and on the Fisher's website, and I still can't decide 100% if there are just the two books, or if there are going to be more.

Lisa Vegan Oh, I did know that The Hunger Games was a trilogy before I started, but when I went out of my way to get an arc of it, I had no idea the torture involved in waiting so long for book 2!!!
