Jean-Luc had to leave Paris because the people were begining to wonder why he wasn't aging. So he decides to open a new fashion shop in the States. But not in New York or Los Angeles, no he opens one in a small town in Texas. What he doesn't count on is that he will meet his match in Texas. Heather will turn his life upside down and he will never be the same, but how do you explain someone that you are not only a very successful fashion designer but also a Vampire. Will she be able to accept his true nature or will she be so scared to run away? To complicate the situation even more suddenly Jean-Luc's archenemy appears and threatens everything that is dear to him, especially Heather.

Ms. Sparks did it again. THE UNDEAD NEXT DOOR is an absolutely fascinating and spellbinding story. You can't help yourself but to fall in love with the very charming Jean-Luc and it is so much fun to see how he has to adjust his life to the life in a small town. Heather is a strong and unusual heroine, who is the perfect counterpart to Jean-Luc.

In THE UNDEAD NEXT DOOR the readers will also meet beloved characters from the previous books of the Love at Stake series again. Although this book can be read as a stand-alone, i would recommend the other books prior reading THE UNDEAD NEXT DOOR, not only to get the whole background knowledge but also for the pure reading fun.

Ms. Sparks confirms with every book why she is on my auto-buy list, because she is one of the best authors of funny Vampire books.

So if you are looking for a book to brighten up you day, pick up a copy of her books.
