Don't let the three stars discourage you from reading... It's an informative and interesting book. In the mid 1980s, Jacqueline graduates from college and takes a job in banking that eventually leads her to Africa where she becomes involved with helping to set up banking and microfinance systems for women, who traditionally have no access to banks. Her personal stories coupled with interesting analysis and information about why traditional aid often fails to make a difference make for compelling reading.
