I ordered this novella on line last night while I was at work. I wanted a quick read that would pack a punch. And boys did it! The concept of "gay chicken" was different and gave a "truth or dare" feel to the read. The men were engaging in their personalities. Mav was dark and brooding while Duke was fun-loving and laid back. I really liked that the story had depth. Mav was struggling with what he was willing to admit about himself, his true nature while Duke was hiding a longing that was tearing him apart. At first, the concept for the piece was simple and erotic, but as I read on I discovered a gem hidden inside. The emotional depth was a nice suprise in such a short work. I loved the part when Duke came into Mav's bed and laid down beside him and put his hand on Mav's chest. It was sweet and sensual all wrapped in one. I will be purchasing more of Ms. Anderson's stuff. I'm a sucker for a hot M/M story!
