I grew up on the Jersey shore near an awesome point break (well, awesome for Jersey anyway). I watched my guy friends surf while I sold fresh-squeezed lemonade on the boardwalk. I always wanted to try myself and finally I decided to do it. Since I was no longer a teenager and had recently had a child, I decided to go deluxe. I booked a trip with Las Olas, a women's surf camp in Sayulita, Mexico. I bought this book and read it before I went and really enjoyed it. They featured Las Olas in the book, so that was a plus for me, but overall it was a good mix of useful info and inspiration.
