Hans I am looking forward to hearing what you think about this book.

J.G. Keely Actually I read this about three years ago, but didn't review it at the time. I just realized that I'd rated the audiobook version, so I switched to this edition. Though I suppose if a review is desired, I'll have to dredge up my thoughts.

Jim No doubt you have other, more pressing, projects, but I do wonder why only three stars (I gave it seven) for a huge seller that is always in print and was found on Border's literature section?

J.G. Keely Well, I don't tend to think of bestsellers as being particularly quality, in terms of writing. As for the three stars, I thought it was a fun enough bit of adventure, but the pacing left a lot to be desired, and the characters were rather flat. I also remember having a few issues with the liberties he took with his presentation of Japanese culture and history. But yeah, other than that, it didn't really stick in my mind.
