Although I know this book better than any other in the series, having read it now four times and seen the film about as much, I always underestimate how much fun I have reading the book. It is the simplest of the series, and takes a while to get going, but once it does it is really an extraordinary read. The Harry Potter series is one of the few multimedia pop culture phenomenons that I feel is worthy of its praise and popularity. J.K. Rowling is hardly James Joyce, but she writes quite well and really knows how to tell a story.
