did not like it

Got this as an audiobook for a long drive and while it started out promising (I like the character Milo Sturgis), it quickly degenerated to a drawn-out, tiresome tale with far too much telling, too little showing, and a rediculously contrived plot. Also had an odd bent where anything progressive or liberal you can think of was somehow given a bad taint or criticized in some way be it international aid workers, prison programs, government in general, or Swedes. Maybe Hellerman was trying to be orginal, but it seemed more like an annoying mission to get across a political viewpoint.
